Easy victory for Bolt in 200 metres heat

BEIJING, China – Jamaica’s Usain Bolt easily won his 200 metres heat at the World Championships here at the Bird Nest Stadium on Monday.

Bolt ran a fairly hard bend but shut down considerably in the final 100 metres to win in 20.28 seconds with Roberto Skiers of Cuba finishing second in 20.29 and Yancarlos Martinez of Dominica third in 20.34.

Bolt said: “I felt good.”
“It was an okay run. I just wanted to qualify,” he added.
