American sprinter Justin Gatlin and Croatian discus thrower Sandra Perkovic  were named All-Athletics.com male and female Athletes of the Year respectively.

According to All-Athletics.com, the world leading track and field statistics website, which does not take into consideration anything else but the Athletes' performances, the Athletes of the Year are determined based on the Overall Rankings dated 30 December 2014..
