Olympic sprint double champion Elaine Thompson has decided to call an end to her season due to an Achilles problem.
“Counting the positives, but it’s been quite a season where my Achilles continues to affect my results, so back to the drawing board,” Thompson said.
“Thanks to you all for the support this season, it means a lot to me. See you again on the track in 2019!” she said on Twitter.
Thompson also listed her achievements.
