BOSTON, USA – Jessica Beard, who finished third at the New Balance Boston Indoor, the first in World Athletics Tour Series, said she is feeling good and ready to make it to Tokyo 2020.

“I am in week 12 of training and to run 37.58, I am happy,” she said.

American Gabby Thomas won the Boston Indoor women’s 300m. She took heat one in 36.52 to beat Beard, 37.58. Shamier Little, the winner of heat two, finished second overall in 37.07.

“I may have let Gabby got away from me, but I felt pretty good, I felt strong finishing,” added Beard, who helped Team USA to gold in the Doha 2019 Mixed 4x400m.

“I am trying to make my first Olympic team. I have made five World Championships teams, so this would be my first Olympic,” she told Trackalerts.com
