Elaine Thompson, after her first indoor meet of 2017, is the world leader for 60 metres. Thompson ran the only sub-7 seconds at Saturday’s Muller Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham, England.
The Rio Olympic 100/200m champion stopped the clock in 6.98 seconds to beat closest rivals and fellow Jamaicans Gayon Evans, 7.17 and Christania Williams, 7.18.
