SCARBOROUGH, Tobago – Kevon Mc Kenna (Scarborough Methodist), Janae DeGannes (Scarborough Anglican) and Christopher Crawford (Bon Accord Governent) were triple winners at the Tobago Zonal Primary Schools Track and Field Championships at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Tuesday (February 23).
Mc Kenna sped away with the boys’ Under-13 100m, 200m and 400m titles. Mc Kenna was voted the top Under-12 boy for 2015 at the National Association of Athletic Administration (NAAA) Annual Awards in January.
De Gannes struck gold in the girls’ Under-11 100m, 200m and long jump while Crawford beat the field in the boys’ 12-15 shot put, discus and javelin throws.
Other outstanding athletes were Kelly Kerr (Bon Accord Gov-G U 9 gold: 60/200), Dominic Alfred (Whim Anglican-B 13-15 gold: 200m, 400m, silver: 100m).
Official results were not competed at the end of the meet. The organizers are expected the final results and point standing later in the week.
