Veronica Campbell-Brown, one of Jamaica’s greatest track and field heroes, now has a road race named in her honour.
The Veronica Campbell-Brown Foundation 5K will be held in Hayes, Clarendon on January 31.
Campbell-Brown, the only sprinter to win gold medals at every single world championships, World Youth, World Junior, World Indoor, World Senior Champs and Olympic Games, is a past student at Vere Technical.
The race is expected to start at Vere and take runners through the Hayes community before finishing on the school’s compound.
