NACAC Senior Champs set for August 7-9

The inaugural NACAC Senior Championships will be held in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, August 7-9.

Victor Lopez said event winners will advance to the World Championships in Beijing, China but only those with “an A standard”

He also said qualification to the World Championships will be left up to the “National Federation to enter the athletes.”

Usain Bolt, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Chris Brown, Shaunae Miller and Kirani James are just some of the eligible athletes 

Also, the NACAC AA will have its Congress where Council elections for a new term of four years will take place during the same weekend of the Championships.
