AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn track and field team will close the regular season at the Tennessee Challenge on Saturday at the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

“This is our last chance to prep for the SEC Championships,” head coach Ralph Spry said. “We want to make sure everyone stays sharp. We won’t travel everybody, but the majority of the group will go. We need to stay sharp because after this weekend we have a weekend off before SECs and then it cycles with a weekend off then NCAAs. We are getting down to crunch time and putting the finishing touches on everything. The hay is almost in the barn. There will be good competition this weekend and the weather should be great so I am really looking forward to it.”

The Tigers recorded one win and eight top-5 finishes last weekend at the 121st annual Penn Relays. Senior Ty McCormack dominated the field in the 10,000m, winning by over 33 seconds at 29:21.39. Freshman Dominique Bullock opened the Penn Relays with a runner-up finish in the long jump at 20-2.25/6.15m.
