Campbell, Cumberbatch named to SEC Community Service Team

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior Torrey Campbell and junior Gabriela Cumberbatch were named to the SEC’s Community Service Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Campbell served as the team’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative and has volunteered with Lee County after school programs working with students with autism. Campbell also helped pass out candy to local children at the City of Auburn’s Downtown Trick or Treat event, donated to SAAC’s Toys for tots and Beat Bama Food Drive and has volunteered with LCYDC to help youth with behavior issues.

Cumberbatch has assisted in stuffing backpacks for the Jason Dufner Foundation and volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County. The Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, native helped mentor kids at Wrights Mill Elementary School to live a healthy lifestyle and participated in the City of Auburn’s Downtown Trick or Treat event. Cumberbatch has also donated to the SAAC Toys for Tots Drive and Beat Bama Food Drive.

The league presents a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight a male and female athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
