Tyreke Wilson sizzles in U18 100m final at Carifta Trials

Calabar’s Tyreke Wilson won the boys’ Under-18 100m final at Jamaica’s Carifta Games Trials at the National Stadium on Saturday (Video link here).

They finished 1-2 in the final. Wilson took top honours in 10.55 while his schoolmate Xavier Angus, who matched him strides for strides, finished second in 10.58.

Rushane Edwards of Munro College finished third in 10.76 and Kenrick Jatterr of Vauxhall, fourth in 10.81.

The top two athletes have booked their tickets to St. Kitts and Nevis for the Carifta Games, set for April 4-6.
