PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago – Olympic medalist Richard Thompson highlighted the second day of Trinidad and Tobago National Championships with world leading and national record 9.82 (+1.7) in the 100m.
He was followed by Keston Bledman (10.00) and Darrel Brown (10.05) with Mark Burns (10.21) and Rondell Sorrillo (10.23 and faster 10.09 in semifinals).
Very fast also Michelle-Lee Ahye who achieved two fastest women 100 m times of the year with world leading 10.85 (+1.6) in the semifinals and 10.88 (+1.2) in the finals. Second Kai Selvon 11.32.
Wayne Davis Jr. (13.21, +0.4) dethroned Mikel Thomas (13.45) in the men's 110m hurdles.
In the 400 m finals, Renny Quow beat by 0.004 Lalonde Gordon (both 45.08), third Jarrin Solomon 45.59, while in women 400m, Janeil Belillle set a new national record 51.83.
