The Corporate Area Development Meet has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 1 2014, at the National Stadium having found a title sponsor, Alcor Windows and Doors.
The Meet will be different as it will involve schools from the corporate area only. It takes on a similar format as “champs” and allows coaches to run a number of their athletes outside their best events.
Meet Director Rick Martin, was thankful that Alcor Windows and Doors stepped in to save the meet. He said the meet is significance to a number school and athletes, as he said this would have been the third meet to be cancelled this season. According to Martin, this would have affected a number of athletes who are still without qualifying times, distances and heights for champs.
Over thirty schools are expected to take part in this event.
JTA Cooperative Credit Union, Grace Kennedy Remittance Services, Western Union, Medical Disposables, Sherwin Williams, Fashion 911, Atlas Security, SIPS Water, Peak Bottling, Ministry of Health, XSOMO, Seaboard Jamaica, Rainbow Awnings, the JAAA, IPL and Hi-Lyte are other sponsors.
