Ostrava, May 24 – The list of the 61st Golden Spike Ostrava assigns other star names a week before the event.

Allyson Felix will come
The great legend of athletics, the American sprinter Allyson Felix, confirmed the start at the 200 m as part of the Jan Slanina Memorial. She already was in Ostrava back in 2014. She will also visit Golden Spike as part of a farewell tour in Europe. She has 11 Olympic medals, 8 of them gold. The most successful female athlete in the history of the Olympic Games. She has 13 gold medals from the world championships. In the starting list, not competing will be Christine Mboma from Namibia, who, after being injured at a meeting in Nairobi, has not yet reached a state where she can compete.
400m with great rivalties
Czech number one Lada Vondrová can look forward to strong competition for 400 m women. The three best Poles will come – European champion Justyna Swiety-Ersetic (50.41), Anna Kielbasinska (50.38) has Olympic silver from the women’s 4×400 m relay and Natalia Kaczmarek (50.70) has Olympic gold from the 4×400 mixed relay. The overseas elite will be represented by the Jamaican Candice McLeod (49.51), bronze from the relay at the Tokyo Olympics and fifth in the individual final.
