Seiko ready for Beijing 2015

IAAF and their timing partner Seiko have worked in collaboration for 30 years. In Beijing, Seiko will have a technical team of about 60 experts, with more than 60 per cent of the team located behind the scenes.

The new field event boards, introduced in Moscow, have been upgraded to create more interesting data and a more spectator friendly experience.

Seiko are also planning to introduce new trackside display boards, wind display board and lap display boards, which are all comprised with LED elements.

Seiko’s transponder system – in which split times are recorded for every 100 metres of each race – will continue to be used.
