Thompson-Herah will be taking part in the women’s 400m race, where she will be up against a number of talented local runners. The back-to-back Olympic 100m and 200m double-double champion last competed in a 60m race in Norway in early February and will be eager to see how far she has progressed in her preparations since then.
In the women’s 400m, Thompson-Herah will face off against 400m hurdles specialist Rushell Clayton, who has already clocked an impressive 53.15 seconds this season. Other competitors in the race include Yanique Melissa McNeil, Jura Levy, and the British Virgin Islands’ Akrisa Eristee.
The men’s 100m will see Oblique Seville, who finished fourth at last year’s World Athletics Championships in Oregon, looking to build on a promising start to the season. Seville has already clocked 6.57 seconds and 6.42 seconds outdoors for the 60m.
The race will also feature 2019 world long jump champion Tajay Gayle, Tyreke Wilson, Sachin Dennis, Rasheed Dwyer, Ronald Levy, Julian Forte, and Canada’s Brendon Rodney.
Ackeem Blake, meanwhile, will take part in the men’s 200m, where he will go up against European champion Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain, Jhevaughn Matherson, and Tyquendo Tracey. In the women’s 200m, World Indoor 400m bronze medalist Stephenie Ann McPherson will compete against Barbados world 400m bronze medalist and Commonwealth Games champion Sada Williams.
Other athletes set to compete include Stacey-Ann Williams, Kemba Nelson, Jonielle Smith, Jodean Williams, and Natasha Morrison.
