GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The postseason has finally arrived in collegiate track and field; with some of the most competitive meets (SEC) in the nation set to be contested over the next month.

Florida will begin its postseason journey as the No. 3 ranked team in the nation on both the men’s and women’s sides.

The women have been ranked in the top-5 of every poll this season while the men secure a top-5 spot for the sixth consecutive week.

Anna Hall capped off the final meet for the Gators before the postseason by winning the USATF Heptathlon title in Fayetteville, Ark. over the weekend.

The Highlands Ranch, Colo. native turned in the No. 2 all-time collegiate performance (6458), No. 1 using the current javelin, enroute to a U.S. title and a spot at the World Championships this summer.

Florida heads into the postseason with five collegiate-leading marks this season.

On the men’s side, both relays have turned in NCAA leads while Joseph Fahnbulleh is the co-leader in the 200 meters.

In the 4×100, Florida ran 38.47 at the Texas Relays while the 4×400 team broke a collegiate record in 2:58.53 at the Tom Jones Memorial.

At the LSU Invitational, Fahnbulleh matched the collegiate lead in the 200 meters when he ran 19.92 to finish as the top collegian in the meet.

On the women’s side, Hall (Heptathlon) and Natricia Hooper (Triple Jump) continue to lead the nation in their respective events.

Florida’s women have the top-two collegiate marks in the Triple Jump this season and three of the top six marks in the Long Jump.

During the indoor season, both of Florida’s teams finished as runner-up at the SEC Indoor Championships in College Station.

The SEC Outdoor Championships will take place from May 12-14 on the campus of Ole Miss.
