Top qualifier Nickel Ashmeade (10.07), reigning double Olympic sprint silver medallist Yohan Blake (10.26), former world record holder Asafa Powell (10.17) and Commonwealth Games champion Kemar Bailey-Cole (10.26) will line-up in a loaded semi-final 2 of the men’s 100m on the second day of the Jamaica Olympics trials later today (July, 1).
Double Olympic relay gold medallist Michael Frater (10.31), Jason Livermore (10.25) and Oshane Bailey (10.39) and Everton Clarke (10.16) will complete the line up.
Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt (10.15) heads the list in semifinal one with Senoj-Jay Givans (10.16), Warren Weir (10.17) and Jevaughn Minzie, who ran a pb of 10.15 in the heats with battle against the world record holder.
Former World Youth and Junior winner Dexter Lee (10.31), Chadic Hinds (10.25), Tyquendo Tracey (10.29) and Jermaine Hamilton (10.34) complete the field.
The top three men along with the fastest two overall from the semi-finals will advance to the final set for 9:15pm
