USA-based Coalition for Jamaica and Ristananna Tracey and Kemar Bailey-Cole Foundation, on February 27, continued their annual effort in assisting the Jamaican athletes to make their way to the 2018 Penn Relays.

It’s a great start for the athletes who saw the collaboration of two great organizations contributing J$50,000 On Friday, February 23rd 2018, to Papine High School and again on Feb 27, J$100,000 to Edwin Allen High School.

The contributions, according to Andrew Batchelor of USA-based Coalition for Jamaica, “will be used to help the athletes prepare and transition to the Penn Relays.”

“It’s an effort that is greatly appreciated by the athletes, as this could be a life changing experience for them,” added Batchelor.

Edwin Allen won the High School Championship of America 4x100m title for girls in 2017.

“They not only get to compete in the Penn Relays, but it also provides an opportunity to be scouted by a major university that could provide a four-year scholarship here in the United States,” he concluded.
