Registration for Jamaica Carifta Trials

Registration is now open for Jamaica’s Carifta Games Trials, set for March 3 and 4 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Entry forms must be completed online by Friday, February 23, 2018

All Athletes entering the Carifta Trials must be the holder of a Jamaican Passport with at least six (6) months validity. (ie. up to September 30, 2018). All entries must be accompanied by a copy of the bio page of the athlete’s passport.

The Bio page of athlete’s passport should be emailed to the JAAA at jaaa.accreditation@gmail.com. Athletes without proper certification will not be allowed to participate in the meet.

All high school athletes must wear their school colours. No athlete will be allowed to enter the competition if he/she has not reached the qualifying standard which can only be attained at a JAAA sanctioned meet.

Coaches are asked to declare entries for Saturday’s events by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and entries for Sunday’s events by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

U 17 Age Group: athletes born in 2002 or after
U 20 Age Group: athletes born in 1999 or after

The IAAF rule pertaining to false starts will be observed. This is, any athlete responsible for a false start will be disqualified except in a combined event.
