NEW YORK – IOC President Thomas Bach is due to speak at the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015 in New York on Saturday, inform insidethegames.
A new Development Agenda will be adopted at the event, which will mention sport as “an important enabler of sustainable development”.
President Bach said, “This new agenda specifically acknowledges the important role that sport plays promoting healthy lifestyles, education and social inclusion.
“It recognises the benefits of sport for all and its ability to empower women and young people.”
