GLASGOW – Usain Bolt has told BBC Radio 5 Live that he thinks has “done enough in the 100m,” and that his main focus from now on will be the 200m.
“I know people want to see me run fast in the 100m but I love my 200m and I want to do something special for myself. So for me, my main aim is the 200.”
“I’ve said I want to run sub 19. That’s one of my biggest goals and my biggest dreams, so I’m definitely going to be training hard and seeing what I can do.”
He admitted that he is not recovering as fast as his younger self, saying “You can feel a difference sometimes especially after a workout. I have to take more ice baths now which is not so much fun.
“I have to work a little bit harder and not go out as much as I used to.”
Speaking to media, Bolt took the opportunity to clarify its intentions for the rest of his career.
“I always said I wanted to retire after Rio, but I think I could go to the world championships,” said the world record holder about 2017 Worlds in London.
