Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake has slammed world athletics chief Sebastian Coe for taking away track and field disciplines such as the 200 metres from next year's Diamond League.

Yohan Blake was a second-place finisher at Tuesday’s May 31 Ostrava Golden Spike, a part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Series in the Czech Republic.

Yohan Blake got an excellent start and led for about 80 meters before race winner Reece Prescod overtook him, running in the far outside lane.

Yohan Blake, the Daegu 2011 world champion, ran a season-best 10.05 seconds for his second-place finish in the men’s 100m.

Zharnel Hughes, Yohan Blake’s former training partner at Racers Track Club, ran 10.05 seconds but was credited with third place in the eight-man field.

Reece Prescod of Great Britain won the event in 9.93 seconds, a massive personal best for the young sprinter.

The athletes ran against a negative 1.2 meter per second headwind.

In another race, Nathaniel Mitchell-Blake, also of Great Britain, ran 10.10 seconds to beat Abdullah Abkar Mohammed of Saudi Arabia by 10.15 seconds.

  1. Alright love that, just keep on inching your way back my fellow country brother. Before you know it you will be back up front and on top of your sport.

  2. Improving his position in a race is good but he’s not getting faster, in fact, it’s slower by Yohan standard.
Blake haven’t broke 9.90 for well over 4 years.
