Salwa Eid Naser didn't know she was going so fast in Doha 2019

World 400m champion Salwa Eid Naser has been cleared of doping charges. The Bahrain sprinter was provisionally suspended for missing three drug tests in a 12-month span.

Naser’s case was dismissed by a World Athletics tribunal, who found that the tester knocked on a storage unit door rather than her apartment in confusion of her location.

“This was a case very much on the borderline,” according to the report.

Naser, who won the Doha 2019 world title in 48.14 seconds, was also rewarded with the third-fastest time in history and the fastest in 34 years.

Since the news of her missed tests, Naser maintained her innocence. “I’ve never been a cheat. I will never be,” Naser said in June.
