Youth Olympic 200m champion Natalliah Whyte anchored St. Jago’s to victory in the Class 1 girls’ 4x100m final at Saturday’s 39th Gibson McCook Relays at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Whyte, who collected the baton from Shanice Reid, took her team across the line in 45.24 seconds.
They finished ahead of Edwin Allen, which had Saqukine Cameron on backstretch, 45.57 and Wolmer’s with Shauna Helps 46.27.
In Class 2, Edwin Allen with a very strong third leg from Shellece Clark, stormed to a record 45.01 seconds.
Green Island finished second in 46.11 and St. Jago third in 46.40.
St. Jago with Kimone Shaw topped Class 3 in 45.87 ahead of Hydel 47.17 and Vere 47.44.
Edwin Allen took Class 4 in 47.74 ahead of St. Jago 47.98 and Wolmer’s 48.49.
