Shaunae Miller-Uibo set a new Bahamian record to beat a top class field at Thursday’s (24 Aug) Zurich Diamond League.

Miller-Uibo turned the tables on the Netherlands’ world champion Dafne Schippers and in the process beat Jamaican Olympic sprint double champion Elaine Thompson.

Miller-Uibo’s time was 21.88secs. Thompson, who led into the final 15 metres, finished second in 22.00. Marie-Josee Ta Lou was third in 22.09 and Schippers, fourth in 22.36.
