Ready for Brussels Diamond League Elaine Thompson-Herah Tokyo 2020
Elaine Thompson To Skip Diamond League 100m final in Brussels (September 6)

Elaine Thompson-Herah is ready and raring to go at Friday’s (25 Sept) Doha Diamond Meeting.

Thompson, who ran a world-leading 10.85 in Rome last year, will be running against the clock on Friday.

Marie-Josee Ta Lou of Ivory Coast and Aleia Hobbs of USA, both fell victim to Thompson-Herah’s 10.85 burners, are again expected to line up in the race.

“As a sprinter, you have to learn to block everything else out anyway, so I’ve got used to racing in a stadium without any fans,” Thompson-Herah said. “Nothing much has changed with my training. My coach is a genius, though, so I just do what he tells me to do.”

Bahamian Anthonique Strachan is the other Caribbean athlete in the field.

Also, down to contest the women’s 100m are Americans, Kayla White and Payton Chadwick.

Julian Forte of Jamaica and Mario Burke of Barbados carry the Caribbean’s hopes in the men’s 200m.
Abdelaziz Mohamed of Qatar and Christophe Lemaitre of France are also in the half-lap field.

Jamaican Yanique Thompson is down to contest the women’s 100m hurdles against Great Britain’s Cindy Ofili and Chadwick.

Frenchman Wilhem Belocian will have to contend with Aaron Mallet and Jason Joseph.
