Elaine Thompson-Herah is into the final of the women’s 100m here at the Puerto Rico Classic Live Steam, a part of the Puma American Track League, on Thursday (12 June).

Thompson-Herah was very easy, comfortable running from start to finish, and taking the first heat in 11.22.

Americans Morolake Akinosun took second in 11.26 and Shania Collins, third in 11.27. Bahamian TyNia Gaither finished sixth in 11.44.

In the second heat, Natalliah Whyte won the event in 11.22 ahead of Michelle-Lee Ahye of Trinidad and Tobago, 11.22.

Cambrea Sturgis of the USA took the third automatic qualifying spot in 11.24.

Tamari Davis also secured a place in the final, running 11.24.

The final is coming up shortly.
