World 200m gold medallist Ramil Guliyev opened the year with a 10.31 100m win at the Austrian Top Meeting in Andorf.

Triple jump star Christian Taylor finished second in 10.59. Taylor ran a personal best 10.58 in heats.

“I had a bad starting reaction in the finals. But then I was able to make some ground. It shows for me for the triple jump this is the right speed,” said Taylor.

Guliyev felt something on his hamstring as a precautionary measure did not run the 200m.

Czech 22-year-old Jiri Polak won the 200m in new personal best of 20.83.

Home star Lukas Weisshaidinger won the discus with a throw of 63.71m. Susanne Walli topped the 400m with 52.90 PB ahead of Slovak hurdler Daniela Ledecka also PB 53.24.

Stanislava Skvarkova topped the 100m hurdles finals 13.03 (+0.7m/s wind) and missed her national mark only by 0.01.

Beate Schrott was second in 13.14.

Heptathlete Ivona Dadic clocked 11.74 for a new personal best 100m mark. She also ran a season-best 13.64 in hurdles.
