Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson was a third-place finisher at Sunday’s (6 March) World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting in Paris, France.

Shericka Jackson crossed the finish line in 7.18 seconds behind Swiss Mujinga Kambundji, who clocked 7.06 to win, and Finland’s Lotta Kemppinen, 7.17. Earlier in the heats, Jackson topped won in 7.20 seconds while Kambundji won hers in 7.11.

US veteran Mike Rodgers won the men’s 60 meter dash in 6.61 seconds ahead of Frenchmen Jeff Prius (6.72) and Dylan Vermont, 6.63.

Triple jump winner Jean-Marc Pontvianne got out to 17.08 meters over Algerian Yasser Triki, who finished with a 16.95-meter effort. In the women’s event, Portugal’s Patricia Mamona got out to 14.15 meters to beat Thea LaFond (14.12).

One day after his national record (6.05m) in Rouen, Chris Nilsen returned with 5.88 meters to win the pole vault. Kurtis Marschall took second with a clearance of 5.76 meters, the same height as Valentin Lavillenie, 5.76.

Cyrena Samba-Mayela was the fastest in the women’s hurdles final in 7.92 seconds, ahead of Reeta Hurske from Finland, whose 7.93 equalled her personal best and Ditaji Kambundji’s 7.94, a Swiss record.

Wilhelm Belocian clocked 7.53 seconds to win the men’s hurdles ahead of Aurel Manga (7.57). Pascal Martinot-Lagarde, after clocking 7.68 in his heat, did not run in the final due to a cramp.
