Monaco Diamond League results from Friday (9 July) 2021. Four World leads in distance races highlighted the EBS Herculis Meeting, the 6th Diamond League of the 2021 season with 8000 spectators.
The men’s 800m, 1500m and steeplechase, despite a one lap early ring and women 1500m, provided the best result of the meet – 3:51.07 by Faith Kipyegon. The only meet record of the evening came from Karsten Warholm in the 400 m hurdles.
Meanwhile, Shaunae Miller-Uibo won the 200m battle with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce at the Monaco Diamond League. World 100m champion Fraser-Pryce was off to a quick start and covered Miller-Uibo early. The Jamaican led off the curve, but Miller-Uibo fought back gallantly in the final 50 meters to take victory in 22.23.
Marie-Josee Ta Lou also finished strong to cross the line in second, running 22.25 seconds to Fraser-Pryce’s 22.48.
