Asafa Powell won the men’s 100m dash at today’s (Sept 13) Decanation 2016 in Marseille, France (see video of race below).

Powell, who was chasing his 98th sub-10, for the second time in a week, failed to achieve the mark. This time he was timed in 10.20 seconds to finish ahead of Japanese Yoshihide Kikyu, 10.35.

Representing the area federation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NACAC), Powell running in his Black, Green and Gold Jamaican Puma bodysuit, held his drive phase for   about 25 metres before separating himself from the field.

Frenchman Mickael-meba Zeze was third in 10.53 and Igor Bodrov, fourth in 10.65.
