World champion Anderson Peters enjoyed a good day at a local meet in St. Georges, Grenada on Saturday (1 Aug).
Peters, who was competing in his first meet since winning the Doha 2019 world title, threw 80.50m in the javelin.
Meanwhile, in Weinheim, Germany, sprinter Denis Almaz improved to excellent European lead of 10.08 (+1.4m/s wind) at Kurpfalz Gala meet.
It is the fastest time by a German sprinter since 2016. Yannick Wolf also ran a personal best 10.27 second while third went to Italian Luca Lai 10.33 (10.32 in heats).
Rebekka Haase won women’s 100m in 11.32. She ran 11.22 (+0.7m/s wind) in heats.
Robin Erewa clocked 20.67 (-0.5) in the 200m and Erik Balnuweit 13.67 (+0.6) hurdles.
Julian Howard won long jump 8.06m (+0.3) ahead of French Augustin Bey 8.03m (+0.5) outdoor PB.
