Lyles’ tweeted after the race, saying: “Unfortunately got a red card but ran under protest. 6.53 off one round I’m very happy with that! USA up next.”

Travis Williams of Jamaica emerged as the runner-up, clocking a personal best time of 6.59 seconds, while Josephus Lyles, Noah’s younger sibling, rounded out the top three with an equivalent time.

In the women’s category, Aleia Hobbs upheld her exceptional form this season by winning the race with a time of 7.04 seconds, narrowly defeating Tamari Davis, who recorded a personal best of 7.08 seconds.
