CLERMONT, USA – Olympic winner Shaunae Miller-Uibo dropped a sub-22 seconds clocking and had her first long jump competition in nine years at the weekend’s (15 April) Pure Athletics Spring Invitational in Florida.
Miller, the Rio Olympic Games 400m champion, clocked 21.90 (+3.1m/s) in the 200m to beat American Jo Atkins 22.54.
In the women’s long jump, Miller got out to 6.29m (+1.5m/s) behind British Virgin Islands’ Chantel Malone, 6.63m.
In the 100m, Dutch Naomi Sedney won the final in 11.01 (+4.6m/s), but Tori Bowie clocked 10.80 (+3.3m/s) in heats.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Kelly-Ann Baptiste ran 10.94 (+4.1m/s).
World champion over 100m in 2007, American Tyson Gay, clocked 47.78 in the men’s 400m, won by Mike Berry in 45.79.
Great Britain’s pair of Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, 9.90, and Ojie Edoborun, 9.93, also got fast times in the men’s 100m with supporting +4.4m/s wind.
