Chantel MaloneBritish Virgin Islands’ long jumper, described her 2019 track and field season as like a “roller coaster” ride.

“Lots of ups and downs,” she said but added, “but overall I feel it was the best season I have ever had, taking away a few things here and there.”

Malone won the 2019 Pan Am title with a leap of 6.68m in LimaPeru. The 2015 Central America and Caribbean Games champion failed to make the final at the Doha 2019 World Athletics Championships.  

She continued by saying, “I think I made a lot of breakthroughs this season, and I am just excited to carry on into next year for Olympics.”
