WIHCON Coming home pennrelays Email Blast FAWJamaican Kellion Knibb wrote her name in the record book on Friday’s penultimate day of 122nd Penn Relays.

Knibb, representing Florida State University, produced a new Penn Relays and Franklin Field record of 58.55m to take the College Women’s Discus Throw Championship.

The Dorian Scott-coached athlete bettered Aretha Hill’s 57.76m mark, which has stood for 20 years.

Chioma Onyekwere of Maryland was 2nd with 53.02m and Nicole Chavis of N.C. State, 3rd with 49.00m.

University of Technical (UTech) Damar Whyte topped the College men’s long jump with a 7.18m leap to beat GC Foster College’s Aubrey Allen 7.13m.

Fedrick Dacres, representing UWI, was second in the College men’s shot put with 18.53m. Jon Yohman of Penn State topped the event with 18.55m.

Basil Bingham of UWI finished 2nd in the College Men’s discus with a throw of 53.89m. David Lucas won the event for Penn State with 55.03m.
