Kevona Davis taking up scholarship at University of Texas

Jamaica’s junior sprint star Kevona Davis was a second-place finisher at Friday’s (22 Jan) at the Wooo Pig Classic hosted at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Davis, University of Texas’ freshman, crossed the finish line in 23.26 seconds behind her junior teammate Kynnedy Flannel, 23.09.

Jayla Hollis, Arkansas’ freshman, finished third in 23.35.

Davis represented Edwin Allen up to 2020.

In the men’s 200m, Terrance Laird of LSU, 20.61 won the event ahead of Lance Lang of Kentucky, 20.98 and Brendon Stewart of USC, 21.07.

Jamaican Daszay Freeman, representing Arkansas, ran 8.27 for 4th place finish in the women’s 60m hurdles. Freeman attended Manchester High and upper six-form at The Queen’s School.

Chanel Brissett of Texas won the event in 8.07s ahead of Mecca McGlaston, 8.08 and Milan Young of LSU, 8.21.

    • Keval Manning since its indoor the run in batches. Normally batches of 4,3,5 etc. At the end they compile the times to see who won. When the compiled she had the second fastest time overall although she won her batch.
