Antigua and Barbuda’s CJ Green and American Sha’Carri Richardson lead the 100m finalists at Saturday’s (10 April) Marimar Invitational, a Continental Tour Silver meet in Florida.

Richardson ran 11.00 seconds to win heat two and advance the final as the fastest qualifier. The wind reading for her heat was +0.4m/s.

Jamaican Natasha Morrison finished second behind Richardson in 11.22 and also advanced to this afternoon’s final.

Natalliah Whyte and Kasheika Cameron are the other Jamaicans to advance.

Whyte ran 11.07 to finish behind American Javianne Oliver 11.05 (+1.3m/s) and Cameron 11.40 for seventh in heat 2.

In the men’s 100m prelims, Green came out the fastest with 10.02 (+2.0m/s) to take heat two ahead of Kyree King of the USA, 10.03.

American 2017 world champion Justin Gatlin ran 10.03 to take the top spot on heat one (+2.4m/s) ahead of Emmanuel Matadi 10.04.

Americans Mike Rodgers 10.13, Isiah Young 10.15, Jeffery Demps 10.23 are also in the final.

Also in the final is Barbadian Mario Burke with 10.32.

Grant Holloway, Kendra Harrison run fast

American world record holder Kendra Harrison was fast in the women’s 100m hurdles. She ran 12.54 (+2.0m/s) wind to lead the qualifiers into the final.

Cindy Sember of Great Britain, the winner of heat 1, ran 12.60 (+3.6m/s wind) to finish ahead of Tiffany Porter 12.68.

Bahamians Devynne Charlton, 12.84 and Pedrya Seymour, 12.88, are also in the final. Shermaine Williams is the 12th fastest with 13.81.

Ronald Levy, second in heat 1 with 13.40 behind American Daniel Robert, 13.29 (+5.5m/s wind), and fellow Jamaican Andrew Riley, 13.46, are into the final.

American world champion Grant Holloway leads the way with 13.14 (+3.3m/s).
Ruebin Walters of Trinidad and Tobago, 13.42 and USVI’s Eddie Lovett, 13.47, have also advanced.

Canadian Christabel Nettey won the women’s long jump with a 6.63m leap (+3.4m/s).
