BOSTON, USA – Three Jamaicans are down to challenge their American counterparts in the women’s 60m hurdles at Saturday’s (25 Jan) New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, the first meet of the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Tour.

They are former Jamaican 100m hurdles record-holder at 12.40s, Janeek Brown, Brittany Anderson, who holds the World U20 100m hurdles record with 12.71 and Jeanine Williams.

Brown ran 8.01, the second-fastest time in the world this year at Saturday’s (18 Jan) Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City.

The Americans down for the clash are Nia Ali, Christina Clemons, Lolo Jones, Jasmin Stowers and Payton Chadwick.
American Olympic Games 100m hurdles champion Brianna McNeal has withdrawn.

Tiffany Porter of Great Britain is also apart of the field.

Asafa Powell will line-up in the men’s 60m dash.

American Vernon Norwood is down for the Jesse Loubier Memorial men’s 400m.

The 2020 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, 25 Jan at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center at Roxbury Community College, Boston.
The series of seven international events will have stops in Karlsruhe, and Düsseldorf (Germany), Torun (Poland), Glasgow (Great Britain), Liévin (France) and Madrid (Spain).
The overall tour winners get $20,000 each and a guaranteed spot at the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China (March 13-15).
