Jamaica ended the three-day NACAC U18, U20 and U23 Championships championships with 61 medals, three less than the host Costa Rica, 64. Several of the events, however, were contested by fewer than three athletes/teams.

Jamaica won the U18 and U23 mixed relay finals.

In the U18 mixed 4x400m, Kishay Rowe, Roshawn Clarke, Oneika Brissett and Delano Kennedy carried Jamaica to victory in 3:25.27 ahead of Bahamas, 3:27.73.

The U23 mixed team of Jamaica with Shiann Salmon, Christopher Taylor, Odaine Mcpherson and Charokee Young won in 3:20.71 ahead of the Bahamas 3:41.69.

Three 200m victory for Jamaica at NACAC Age-Group Champs

Jamaica finished 1-2 in the U18 boys’ final, Alicke Cranston, 20.74 ahead of Orlando Wint, 21.10.

Alana Reid was Jamaica’s only other 200m victor. She won the U18 girls’ 200m final in 23.78 ahead of Mariandree Chacon of Guatemala, 24.06.

Camille Rutherford of Bahamas topped the U20 women 200m final in 23.42 ahead of Joella Lloyd of Antigua and Barbuda, 23.55.

Fiordaliza Cofil of the Dominican Republic took the U23 women 200m title in 23.89 ahead of Halle Hazzard of Grenada, 24.07.

Alexander Ogando of the Dominican Republic was the U23 men’s 200m winner in 20.59. He beat Jamaicans Jevaughn Powell, 20.83 and Antonio Watson, 21.03.

Bahamians Wayna McCoy21.17 and Terrence Jones, 21.18 finished 1-2 in the men’s U20 200m final.

Kavian Kerr of Jamaica leapt 7.80m to beat Miguel Aronategui Gonzalez of Panama, 6.69m for the U20 men’s long jump title.

Jamaica’s Romaine Beckford cleared 2.10m to win the U20 men high jump. Bahamian Shaun Miller, the brother of Shaunae Miller-Uibo, 2.21m to take victory in the U23 men’s high jump.
