Tissanna Hickling of GC Foster College won the College Women’s Long Jump Championship on Thursday’s (26 April) opening day of Penn Relays 2018.
Hickling, who won the High School title in 2017 for St. Jago, returned to deliver in her first collegiate year. Her winning mark was 6.46m.
Keishorea Armstrong of Binghamton was the second best with 6.44m.
Two other Jamaicans, Jessica Noble, 6.26m and her UTech teammate Jody Petrie, 5.18m, were 3rd and 10th respectively.
Meanwhile, former Edwin Allen student Shannon Kalawan, now representing Saint Augustine University, topped the College Women’s 400m Hurdles Championship in 57.30.
Candice McLeod of UWI was second in 57.78
Former Holmwood athlete Geneva Grange threw 16.40m for 3rd in the College Women’s Shot Put Championship, won by Jessica Woodard of Oklahoma, 16.96m.
