Former Jamaican sprinter Grace Jackson is celebrating her 59th birthday today (14 June).

Jackson competed in the 100m and 200m for Jamaica for more than a decade in the 70s and 80s. She won the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games 200m silver medal.

At the World Championships, Jackson won 200m silver in Budapest 1989 and bronze over the same distance in Indianapolis 1987.
