Jamaica’s Athens 2004 Olympic Games 400m hurdles silver medallist, Danny McFarlane, was born on this day, 14 June 1972.

Also at the Sydney Games in 2000, McFarlane helped Jamaica to silver in the men’s 4x400m.

He also won five World Championships 4x400m silver medals with Jamaica between 1995 and 2003.

McFarlane won 4x400m gold at the Lisbon 2001 World Indoor Championships. He also won the 400m hurdles at the Central American and Caribbean Championships.
