Gatlin will face strong opponents at Ostrava Golden Spike

Justin Gatlin won the men’s 60m dash but lost the 150m to Jaron Flournoy at a small meeting in Fort Worth, Texas today (20 July).

In the men’s 60m, London 2017 world 100m champion Gatlin, won in 6.84 ahead of Isaiah Young 6.88 and Canadian Aaron Brown, 6.91.

Gatlin won his heat of the men’s 150m in 15.93 but finished fourth overall behind Flournoy, 15.08s.

Aldrich Bailey, 15.35 and Kerron Clement, 15.69, also contested the event.

The women’s 60m went to Brianna Rollins-Mcneal in 7.39 ahead of Kyra Jefferson, 7.55 and heat 3 winner Sha’Carri Richardson, 7.41.

Richardson, however, topped the 100m in 11.56 ahead of Kortney Johnson, 11.65 and Dezerea Bryant, 11.79.

Rollins-Mcneal topped the women’s 150m in 16.41 ahead of Kendra Keni Harrison, 16.92 and world 400m hurdles champion Dalilah Muhamad, 17.07.

Jefferson took the 250m event in 32.44 ahead of Rollins-Mcneal, 33.49 and Muhamad, 33.69.

Michael Norman was on fire, running a huge personal best of 9.86 to take the men’s 100m.
