Olympic Games 400m champion Steven Gardiner wins big in Doha 2019, wins at Blazer Invitational
Steven Gardiner is an Olympic champion sprinter from the Bahamas. He is known for his prowess in the 400 meters event and has achieved notable success on the international stage, including winning the gold medal in the men's 400 meters at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Doha 2019 World Championships.

World 400m champion Steven Gardiner won the men’s 200m dash at Saturday’s (1 Aug) American Track League meeting in Georgia, USA.

Gardiner, the Doha 2019 400m winner, posted 20.19s into a negative 0.6m/s wind to beat the field.
Chris Belcher finished second in 21.12 and Aurel Tchunbi, third in 21.57.

Chantal Malone from the British Virgin Islands leapt to 6.74m in the long jump. She beat Tiffany Flynn, who did 6.32m.

In the women’s 400m, Courtney Okolo ran 51.52 to beat Jessica Beard, 51.71 and Chrisann Gordon-Powell, 52.75.

Gabrielle Thomas topped the 200m in 22.89 (+0.5m/s) over Kyra Jefferson 22.90.
Murielle Ahoure opened with 11.36 (-0.8) in the 10 m ahead of Tamari Davis 11.42.

Kendall Williams won the men´s 100m in 10.29 (+0.4), Canadian Marco Arop 1:47.70 in the 800m and Olympic medalist Erik Kynard 2.20m in his first outdoor meet since June 2018.
