DOHA, Qatar – Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has pulled out of the women’s 200m at the 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 in Qatar.

Fraser-Pryce, who won her fourth world 100m title on Sunday night, said it was a coach’s decision for her to withdraw.

“I am not running the 200m; I’m not running,” she said with a smile.
Asked why, Fraser-Pryce replied: “My coach said I’m not running,” she said while laughing out loud.

Fraser-Pryce won her fourth world 100m title in a season-best 10.71, just short of her 10.70 personal best.

  1. Sage Mchottie, actually from the official team list – can’t be clearer than that. Sashalee Forbes is listed as the reserve in brackets. Also there was a post specifically about SAFP doing the double here. Not sure when your info came from because from DL final it was announced that Shaunae would do only the 400m in Doha.

  2. Shelly was never set to compete in the 200m where does tease ppl get their information from lol. Miller is the dominant one to win in a super fast time. Then Dina I predict to do amazingly well. Not sure if home girl ET is mentally ready. She’s a world class queen but somehow after that injury she has never regained her focus in the sport. Praying she can come home with a medal in that 200m.
