Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Pulls Out Of 200m #Doha2019

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, winner of two gold and bronze medals at the last three Olympic Games, “believe it’s possible” to take the top spot in Tokyo 2020.

Fraser-Pryce, who won in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 followed by bronze in Rio 2016, is aiming to create history in Tokyo 2020.
Now 33 years old, Fraser-Pryce would equal her World Championship feat of being the oldest women to win an Olympic 100m title. Elaine Thompson won the sprint double in Rio 2016.

“I definitely believe it’s possible, considering the year I had and the room to improve,” Fraser-Pryce was quoted in British Press saying.

Fanny Blankers-Koen, at the age of 30, stands as the oldest Olympic Games 100m champion. She won in 1948.

Fraser-Pryce, at the Doha 2019 World Championships, won a record four 100m titles after missing out on London 2017 because of giving birth.
She won in Berlin 2009, Beijing 2015, Doha 2019 and the sprint double in Moscow 2013.

“That time out actually gave me the time to just mentally refocus on the goals that I want to achieve, and I’m going to soldier on,” explained Fraser-Pryce.

“I’m definitely looking forward to making it to my fourth Olympic Games,” said added.
