Demish Gaye clinched the other non-automatic spot after placing third in a season’s best 44.66 seconds in his heat of the men’s 400m at the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019.
“It’s been a while since I have run this fast and I’m pretty pleased to have made it to the finals,” said Gaye.
