Tamari Davis sets world U18 60m record

World champion Grant Holloway and Tamari Davis were winners at American Track League meet on Wednesday (Jul 29), in Marietta, Georgia, USA.

Holloway, Doha 2019 men’s 110m hurdles winner, clocked 13.53 and 13.50 on the day.

Davis won the women’s 60m dash in 7.27

In the 150m, Davis won her race in 17.00 but finished third overall behind Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, 16.91 and Morolake Akinosun, 16.98.

TJ Holmes ran 35.07 in the 300m hurdles. He missed US all-time best by only 0.05.

Clayton Murphy, an Olympic 800m medalist, won 300m in 36.58 and unusual 250m in 30.53. Cameron Parker clocked 12.98 (0.0) in the 120m.

In women events, Gabrielle Thomas won the 150m in 16.89 and 200m in 22.63 ahead of Shakema Wimbley 22.96 and Courtney Okolo 23.55.

Morolake Akinosun with 13.82 won the 120m event and Shakima Wimbley, 29.77 the 250m dash.

Courtney Okolo topped the 300m in 38.48.

In two hurdles duels of sisters, Cindy Ofili beat Tiffany Porter in the first one (12.97 to 13.09) and in second it was reversed 13.14 to 13.44.

Interesting to note, pole vaulter Katie Nageotte achieving her 100 m PB 11.91m.
